Background
The U.S. Army Criminal Investigation Laboratory (USACIL) requires the brand name purchase, delivery, and installation of specialized microscopy equipment to support forensic investigations. The goal of this contract is to enhance the capabilities of the Forensic Expeditionary Department in examining and comparing ammunition components and tool marks. The contracting activity is the U.S. Army Mission and Installation Contracting Command (MICC) located at Fort Eisenhower, GA.

Work Details
The contract involves the procurement of two types of Leica microscopes and camera systems: (2) Leica FS C Comparison Microscopes and (2) Leica K3C Microscope Camera Systems. Each microscope system must include a one-year warranty covering all hardware components and must be complete systems that include:

- Height adjustable motorized column with motorized comparison bridge
- Dust cover
- 10x eyepieces
- Workbench
- Monitor attachment for workbench
- PC mount
- Objectives (0.4x, 1x, 2x, 4x, 8x)
- LED light source
- Cold light illumination bar
- LED spot illuminator
- Diffuser
- LED light bar
- Tilting stage
- Stage holders and attachments
- Stage micrometer

Additionally, each system must include:

- 1 Leica K3C camera
- Hardware dongle
- LAS X Extended Annotation module
- LAS X Measurement software
- LAS W2 Workstation
- HD monitor, keyboard, and shipping/handling.
