Laundry, Drycleaning, and Alteration Jackson, Mississippi   3

Background
This is a non-personal services contract to provide for laundering, dry cleaning, alteration/repair, and destruction of uniforms, associated items and equipment services for Jackson Public School District JROTC. The cadets are required by regulation to wear the uniform at least once a week. Because of the economic situation faced by many American families, the cost to maintain their children’s uniform is unaffordable; therefore, the issuing authority (US Congress/US Army) must do its part and assist with maintaining the Army Service Uniform as necessary, to ensure that our cadets project and display the standards of appearance/cleanliness that are required of everyone visually representing the United States Military.

Work Details
The contractor shall provide all personnel, equipment, supplies, facilities, transportation, tools, materials, supervision, and other items and non-personal services necessary to perform dry cleaning, laundering, alteration and disposal of uniforms, associated items and equipment for Jackson Public School District JROTC as defined in this Performance Work Statement except for those items specified as government furnished property and services. The contractor shall launder Army Combat Uniforms (ACU), ASU Shirts, Physical Fitness Uniforms, Ponchos, Sleeping Bag, Canteen Covers, Equipment Belts per label instructions. They will also dry clean Army Service Uniforms (ASU), Army Cold Weather Coats and Jackets per label instructions. Additionally, they will alter and repair Army service clothing and equipment per DA PAM 670-1. The contractor will maintain accountability and tracking of all laundry, dry cleaning, alteration, repaired items and provide pick-up and delivery of dry cleaning and alteration/repair uniforms. They shall also dispose of unserviceable items by fire or other means to render the items totally unusable and unrecognizable as Army property.

Period of Performance
The period of performance shall be for one base year of 12 months and four option years.

Place of Performance
The work to be performed under this contract will be performed at the contractor facility within the Jackson, MS metro area.
