KER 50 Snow Lion Rudder Bearings

Background
The Fleet Logistics Center Norfolk, Virginia is seeking information on qualified and experienced sources for custom manufacturing of upper and lower bearings for a KER 50 Snow Lion boat for the United States Naval Academy. The USNA Water Front Readiness Department supports the seamanship program for training Midshipmen on their navigational skills at sea, maintaining Yard Patrol Crafts, Sailboats, Yachts, and a variety of small boats used to assist in the mission set forth during each academic year.

Work Details
The USNA is issuing this requirement to procure a new upper and lower rudder bearing for KER 50 Snow Lion boat name WAHOO. Current bearings are beyond repair and need to be replaced. This sailboat was manufactured in France and all the parts have to be imported or custom manufactured to specification resulting in long lead times.

The specific products required include:
1) JP3 Materials 48.22.18 Type 4 racing bearing, 2 ertalyte rows, Ø180;
2) JP3 Materials R18 TYPE 4 stop ring Ø180;
3) JP3 Materials 48.22.12 Type 4 racing bearing, 2 ertalyte rows, Ø120;
4) JP3 Materials R12 TYPE 4 stop ring Ø120.

Period of Performance
All parts need to be delivered by 2/19/2024 or as soon as possible at the US Naval Academy via Water Front Readiness Bldg66, 66 Halligan Rd. Annapolis, MD 21402
