Background
The Embassy Budapest is seeking to replace a burned panel door at the North Chancery attic due to a fire incident that occurred on December 9, 2024. The fire was caused by a missed preventative maintenance activity by the PM contractor. The existing panel poses an ongoing risk of short-circuiting and lacks a backup power source, making this an urgent safety issue for U.S. Government personnel and building assets.

Work Details
The contractor is required to construct a new panel based on as-built drawings that replicate the existing MCC-507. The scope of work includes: transporting the new panel to the Post, safely demolishing the old panel while ensuring continuous operation of the 24-hour chiller system with pumps, and installing the new panel. Additionally, all necessary quality assurance/quality control (QA/QC) testing and commissioning must be completed.

Period of Performance
The contract will be performed as soon as possible due to the urgent nature of the work required.
