JBER CDC Snow/Ice Removal   2

Background
The contract is issued by the 773rd Force Support Squadron (FSS) at Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson (JBER) for snow and ice removal services at various Child Development Centers (CDC) and School Age Care (SAC) facilities.

The goal of the contract is to ensure safe access to these facilities during winter months by maintaining clear entrances and sidewalks, thereby supporting the mission of providing care and support for children and youth programs.

Work Details
The Contractor shall provide non-personal services necessary for snow and ice removal at the following facilities: Denali CDC Bldg. 7377, Kodiak CDC Bldg. 6, Talkeetna CDC Bldg. 11, Sitka CDC Bldg. 6376, Illa SAC Bldg. 36100, Ketchikan SAC Bldg. 7163, and Katmai CDC Bldg. 7181.

Specific tasks include:
- Clearing snow from all main entrances by 0600 on occurrence days;
- Ensuring landings near doorways and wheelchair ramps are cleared within one hour after facility occupation;
- Overnight snow must be cleared when accumulation exceeds 3 inches by 0500hrs;
- Overnight ice control must be conducted when there is more than ¼ inch of accumulation;
- Performing two occurrences of service daily during duty hours;
- Ensuring that snow removal does not impede access to essential areas.

Period of Performance
The performance period for this contract will commence from the award date and continue through the end of the winter season, estimated to be May 31.

Place of Performance
The services will be performed at various locations within Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson (JBER), specifically at designated Child Development Centers and School Age Care facilities.
