Janitorial Services for TSA EWR   3

Purpose: The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) is issuing this Request for Information (RFI) as a means of conducting market research to identify parties having an interest in and the resources to support TSA's need for janitorial services at Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR) prior to the release of a Request for Quote (RFQ) for this requirement. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code assigned to this procurement is anticipated to be 561720 Janitorial Services. The Product Service Code (PSC) is anticipated to be S201 Housekeeping- Custodial Janitorial. At this time, the Government anticipates this requirement will be set aside for Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB).

Requirement: Janitorial services and pest control are required for TSA leased space areas at the Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR) in Newark, NJ. TSA currently occupies approximately 16,886.23 square feet of leased space. The space is dedicated to training rooms, supervisor offices, bathrooms, and break rooms. The Contractor shall provide janitorial services seven (7) days a week for the spaces occupied by the TSA at EWR.

The Contractor will be required to meet all security and permitting requirements from the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey (PANYNJ).

The work described herein shall be performed by the minimum requirement of four (4) janitorial personnel and four (4) working supervisors within the schedule outlined in Section 3.0. Four (4) personnel working each shift (i.e. two (2) janitorial personnel and two (2) working supervisors per shift). The minimum labor requirement is illustrated below:

Shift 1 - Leased Space (6 am - 10 am)

Total hours per Year: 5,840

Shift 2 - Leased Space (1 pm - 5 pm)

# of Personnel: 4

Combined Shift Totals: 8 hours per day. 11,680 hours per year.

This request for information does not constitute a request for quotes or a promise to contract; submission of any information in response to this market survey is purely voluntary; the Government assumes no financial responsibility for any costs incurred.
