The Network Contracting Office (NCO) 6, Department of Veterans Affairs intends to sole source a contract for the purchase of Varia Aria/Eclipse software license and maintenance for the following medical center: The objective of this sole source award is for a firm-fixed-price contract with Varian Medical Systems Inc. This sole source determination is in accordance with FAR 13.5, Simplified Acquisition, procedures and in accordance with 41 USC 253(c)(1) as implemented by FAR 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. Varian Medical is the only known authorized supplier and servicing agent for Varia Aria/Eclipses software licensing and maintenance for Hardware. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this procurement is 334517 and the size standard is 1,000 employees. No solicitation package will be issued. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes; however, interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to this requirement.
