Background
The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) is issuing this solicitation for the Physical Security Access Control System, specifically focusing on the maintenance and support of access controllers. The goal of this contract is to ensure the security and operational efficiency of access control systems across various VA facilities in San Diego, California, thereby supporting the agency's mission to provide high-quality care to veterans.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for the following tasks:

1. Maintenance and support of the Physical Security Access Control System at the VA San Diego Healthcare System (VASDHS) and its associated clinics.

2. Regular inspections and preventive maintenance of access control equipment.

3. Timely response to service calls and troubleshooting issues related to access controllers.

4. Providing necessary training to VA staff on the operation and management of access control systems.

5. Ensuring compliance with all relevant security regulations and standards.

Period of Performance
Base Year: March 1, 2025 – February 28, 2026; Option Year One: March 1, 2026 – February 28, 2027; Option Year Two: March 1, 2027 – February 28, 2028; Option Year Three: March 1, 2028 – February 28, 2029; Option Year Four: March 1, 2029 – February 28, 2030.

Place of Performance
Primary Location: VA San Diego Healthcare System (VASDHS), Jennifer Moreno VA Medical Center, 3350 La Jolla Village Drive, San Diego, CA 92161-0002. Secondary Locations include various VA clinics in Chula Vista, Kearny Mesa, Oceanside, Sorrento Valley, Rio San Diego Drive, Imperial Valley/El Centro, San Diego Domiciliary, Miramar HR, Shoreham HR, San Diego Counseling Center, Comp & Pen office, and multiple Vet Centers.
