Background
The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) is seeking a contractor to perform the removal and replacement of fire alarm panels for Buildings 202 and 6 at the Doris Miller VAMC in Waco, Texas. The contractor will be responsible for providing all labor, supervision, materials, and equipment required for the services. The work must be done according to the Infection Control Risk Assessment (ICRA) specified for the respective areas where work is performed.

Work Details
The contractor shall provide all personnel, services, vehicles, transportation, tools, equipment, materials, supplies, facility supervision, administration supervision, and any other items necessary to perform and accomplish this service.

The work includes removing existing obsolete fire alarm panels and replacing them with new systems. It also involves testing, tagging, training VA personnel on how to use the new system, providing submittal drawings with approved red lines on PDF drawings after completion of each panel, and ensuring that the fire alarms are being monitored for emergency fire response. The contractor will also be responsible for interlocking smoke detectors to HVAC equipment, sealing roof penetrations or underground work when complete, installing or removing any medium or high voltage equipment as needed, and troubleshooting by camera prior to the start of the job.

Period of Performance
The period of performance for this contract is 60 days after receipt of order (ARO).

The work will be performed at Doris Miller VAMC in Waco, Texas at 4800 Memorial Drive.
