3 6/28/2024 1 Montrose VA Medical Center Montrose, New York 10548 Statement of Work (SOW) FDR Bldg. 26 Rooftop HVAC System Cleaning Service Background: The Montrose VAMC at Montrose New York is currently seeking a HVAC Duct system cleaning service of HVAC unit and supply and return duct work for our Pool area in building 26. This service is needed to provide cleaning to the air ducts. Air ducts exist to distribute ventilation air through the HVAC system, but they can also circulate dust and dander. Ducts become clogged with dust and debris over time, restricting airflow into the room/area. These restrictions come from airborne contaminants that flow through the air filter or vents. Scope of Work: Contractor shall furnish parts, materials and labor for the HVAC system cleaning service with the following details below: Contractor will prepare all related work areas to ensure no contamination to existing structure. The HVAC air handling unit will be completely vacuumed clean, brushed and hand wiped with EPA registered cleaning solution. Both supply and return duct will be contact vacuumed using HEPA vacuum. Use of agitation devices will not be used unless the duct area is not accessible. This will be done using access holes cut into duct work as needed. Contractor is responsible for patching all access holes with sheet metal and duct seal. All supply and return diffusers/ grills will be removed and hand washed and disinfected using EPA Registered cleaning solution and reinstalled. All fans, housing, coils, filter racks, compartments, outside air dampers and all supply and return dampers of the HVAC System will be vacuumed and disinfected using an EPA registered cleaning solution. Air filters will be removed and discarded, and new filters will be installed to match existing filters as required. The VA will supply the replacement filters. Contractor shall supply all means to safely reach and work on the systems duct work. The pool will be empty at the time of work. If staging and lifts are required, the contractor shall supply all equipment and safety equipment. Contractor will follow all OSHA regulations. As well as all VA safety regulation. Contractor shall remove all waste daily and place in VA supplied designated dumpster. Contractor shall test the functionality of the equipment upon completion of cleaning. Test should ensure that the equipment is functioning within the guidelines of the OEM or the applicable standards (OSHA, ASHRE, EPA). At the end of each day Project Supervisor shall notify the POC of daily progress. Upon completion of Project a full report of the condition and findings and remedies shall be provided to the VA. Safety Requirements In performance of this contract, the contractor will provide all safety and fall protection in accordance with OSHA and VA safety guidelines. Certification Requirements National Air Duct Cleaners Association (NADCA) Period of Performance The period of performance is 2 weeks. Monday Thru Friday 8:00am to 4:30pm. Contractor shall commence work 1 week after awarded contract. Place of performance Montrose VAMC 2094 Albany post Road Building 26 (pool building) Montrose, NY 10548 Inspection An inspection shall be done by the VA COR/POC upon completion.
