Thermo Quantis Mass Spectrometer Service agreement

Background
The Thermo Quantis Mass Spectrometer and associated autosampler and chromatography pumps are used by the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) for high-profile research, including the study of perfluorinated alkyl substances and chemicals associated with harmful cyanobacterial bloom. The instrument requires a service contract to maintain functionality in fulfillment of these research objectives. Specific instrument components in need of this contract include a Thermo Quantis Mass Spectrometer and associated autosampler and chromatography pumps.

Work Details
The contractor shall provide all personnel, labor, equipment, parts, tools, materials, vehicles, transportation, supervision, and services necessary to meet all the requirements for the system located at 26 W. Martin Luther King Dr. Cincinnati OH 45268. Personnel involved in this work shall be certified, fully trained, and qualified by the original equipment manufacturer (OEM) on the Thermo mass spectrometer, autosampler, and chromatography systems to be able to perform repair and maintenance tasks as requested by EPA. The contractor shall provide unlimited site visits to ensure operational status of covered instrumentation, as well as one annual preventative maintenance visit, including verification of detection of target analytes and maintained instrument performance to historical norms.
This coverage shall also include necessary software updates and modifications to maintain functionality in the event repairs necessitate such changes.

The estimated period of performance dates are: BASE YEAR: 04/01/2024 – 03/31/2025; OPTION YEAR 1: 04/01/2025 – 03/31/2026; OPTION YEAR 2: 04/01/2026 – 03/31/2027
