Ion Vapor Deposition (IVD) Coating of Tie Rods

Background
Tobyhanna Army Depot (TYAD) is a recognized leader in providing world-class logistics support for Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Cyber, Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (C5ISR) Systems across the Department of Defense. The objective of this contract is to set up an avenue to have government equipment IVD coated over the next five years using a Blanket Purchase Agreement (BPA).

Work Details
The contractor shall provide all personnel, equipment, supplies, facilities, transportation, tools, materials, supervision, and other items and non-personal services necessary to perform IVD coating services as defined in this Performance Work Statement except for those items specified as government furnished property and services. The contractor shall perform to the standards in this contract.

TYAD will identify the number of parts that require application of IVD coating depending on production requirements. TYAD will ship these parts to the service provider’s facility for application of IVD coating. Service provider shall perform the necessary preparation such as cleaning and masking as specified in IVD coating specification and provided drawings within this contract. Contractor is responsible for applying IVD coating per MIL-DTL-83488D, Type 2, Class 1 as stated in drawing and drawing amendment/change. The vendor is to return the parts to TYAD within 30 days of receiving the parts.

Period of Performance
The period of performance shall be for five (5) years covered under BPA. TYAD could send up to 200 parts per year (no more than 100 parts per each batch) for any combination of parts from three drawings provided in this contract. Future requirements are at the discretion of the TYAD.
