Integrated Modular Medical Support Systems IV

This acquisition is to obtain reconfigurable complex medical support systems product and related services for Army medical facilities worldwide. Related services include design, standard and extended installation, reconfiguration, restorative services, clinical analysis, OCONUS transportation, extended project management, inventorying and warehousing. Systems product refers to a group of interacting, interrelated or interdependent elements which form a complex whole and are based on a modular or standardized (with respect to dimension, type, color, etc.) concept. The systems are comprised of many components working together in a workstation or other design solution. Additionally, systems product is movable and reconfigurable using the same parts and pieces with a high recoverability of use. The work will be performed at facilities located throughout the CONUS and outlying areas, territories, and possessions, and OCONUS. Work in foreign countries (Belgium, Germany, Japan, and Korea) equates to 15% or less of the overall scope. It is anticipated that MHS medical furnishings requirements will occur in additional OCONUS countries, to include countries with active military operations, during the life of this requirement. Other foreign jurisdictions outside the Contiguous United States may be added to the geographic scope of the base BPA if deemed appropriate after an analysis of relevant statutes and regulations, including the Competition in Contracting Act, and approval of a FAR Part 6 Competition Requirements J&A for an out-of-scope change if appropriate, and analysis of international agreement terms between the United States and the respective foreign jurisdiction.
