This notice is intended strictly for Market Research to determine if a 100% Set aside for Indian firms exist, pursuant to the negotiation authority of the Buy Indian Act, 25 USC. 47. or if there are set aside small business concerns which may be able to fulfill the requirements set forth in this request for information.

The purpose of this notice is to gain knowledge of potential qualified sources and their size classification/socioeconomic status (Small Business Indian Firms or Small Business). This is a Request for Information only. This NOT a solicitation for proposal, proposal abstracts, or quotations.

The Bemidji Area Indian Health Service is conducting Market Research to help determine the availability of the following item/service:

NAICS: 561621 - Security Systems Services (except Locksmiths)

PSC: H312 - INSPECTION- FIRE CONTROL EQUIPMENT

A solicitation is not currently available, if a solicitation is issued, it will be announced on SAM.gov/Contract Opportunity website: http://www.sam.gov at a later date, and all interested parties must respond to the solicitation announcement separately from the responses to this announcement in order to be considered. Your responses to this request will assist the Government in determining the appropriate acquisition method, including whether a set-aside is appropriate.

Work Details
The Bemidji Area Indian Health Service is conducting Market Research to help determine the availability of security systems services (except locksmiths) and inspection of fire control equipment. The contract will involve the inspection of hospital fire and smoke dampers scattered throughout the Red Lake Hospital. The contractor will be required to verify the operation of approximately 18 smoke dampers, 59 fire dampers, and 27 combination fire/smoke dampers. Additionally, they will need to replace fusible links, label each damper door and ceiling grid location, document test results on a spreadsheet, provide a list of all identified deficiencies, show damper location on a map provided by the Red Lake Hospital, submit an above the ceiling permit, and comply with NFPA 80-2010 and NFPA 105-2010. All dampers and their condition shall be discussed with onsite engineer and maintenance prior to leaving site.
