Background
The contract is issued by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers for the replacement of roofs at LaGrange and Peoria Lock and Dam facilities in Illinois. The mission of the agency is to maintain and improve the nation's water resources infrastructure, ensuring safety and functionality. The goal of this contract is to replace EPDM membrane roofs on three buildings that hold historical significance, requiring the use of in-kind materials.

Work Details
The scope of work includes:
1. LaGrange Lock and Dam:
- Remove existing 1750 square feet of roofing material including insulation and dispose legally.
- Install two layers of 2.6" Polyisocyanurate Foam Board Insulation with an R-value of R-30, fully foamed down to the existing concrete deck.
- Install tapered insulation panels for proper drainage.
- Fully adhere a new EPDM membrane (minimum thickness 60 mil) with specified seam fabrication.
- Reuse existing metal coping unless damaged; match new coping where required.
- Install compatible roof drains with clamping rings and strainers.
- Flash all walls and penetrations per specifications.
- Provide a 20-year NDL manufacturer's warranty.

2. Peoria Lock and Dam:
- Remove existing roofing material from both buildings (Lock house: 1750 sq ft; Tainter gate control building: 330 sq ft) and dispose legally.
- Install two layers of insulation as specified above, ensuring proper drainage with tapered panels.
- Adhere a new EPDM membrane as described for LaGrange, including reuse of metal coping where applicable.

Period of Performance
The contractor will have 120 consecutive calendar days from the date of award to complete the work.

Place of Performance
The construction projects will be performed at LaGrange Lock and Dam located at 714 1965E St., Versailles, IL 62378, and Peoria Lock and Dam located at 1071 Wesley Rd, Creve Coeur, IL 61610.
