Identify Friend-or-Foe – Radar Test Set (IFF-RTS) Repair

The Government is conducting market research to identify potential sources that possess the technical data, expertise, capabilities, and experience to meet qualification requirements to provide repair and upgrade to the Identify Friend-or-Foe Radar Test Set (IFF-RTS).

The Contractor shall repair (NSN 6625015620715KV), repair and upgrade (NSNs 6625014837194KV, 6625015707091KV) using Government provided upgrade kits (NSN 6625015733586). The Contractor shall provide all required facilities, labor, equipment, material, special tools, and test equipment required for repair and upgrade activities. Knowledge, generation, and storage of classified information and/or Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) are required for performance of the United States Air Force (USAF) IFF-RTS contract. Contractor personnel will be required to have a minimum of a Secret security clearance.

The Government does not own the software data package for this system. The IFF-RTS system and all engineering is proprietary to, and provided by, Tel Instruments. The IFF-RTS is manufactured using commercial off the shelf (COTS) hardware, fully satisfying the system requirements. The COTS instruments are independently tested for sustainment performance by Tel Instruments. The contractor will manage all aspects of the IFF-RTS repair and upgrade with respect to the services outlined in the contract Performance-Based Work Statement (PWS).
