**SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE FOR HVAC SYSTEM**

Background
The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) is seeking contractors for HVAC System Improvement Services at the Central Texas Veterans Health Care Facility in Temple, Texas.

The goal of this contract is to enhance the HVAC systems in Building 146, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations while providing a comfortable environment for veterans.

This market research notice is being conducted by Network Contracting Office (NCO) 17 VHA Regional Procurement Office-West to establish sources for future procurement strategies.

Work Details
The contractor shall provide all labor, materials, and equipment necessary for the HVAC Systems Improvement in Building 146.

Specific tasks include:
1. Removal of three existing 5-ton air handlers and associated piping, with the air handlers set aside for VA storage.
2. Demolition of ducts from plenums and rerouting them to the corresponding 15-ton air handler, including installation of new airtight takeoffs with dampers.
3. Fixing the return transition on the 15-ton air handler to improve airflow across the coil.
4. Installation of VA-provided Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs) for proper airflow management, with programming and balancing performed by VA's designated company post-installation.
5. Installation of dampers in the outside air duct for manual balancing.

The contractor must also ensure that all work complies with safety regulations and submit a safety plan prior to commencing work.

Period of Performance
The performance period for this contract is set at 90 days from the Notice to Proceed.

Place of Performance
The construction projects will be performed at Building 146, Central Texas Veterans Health Care Facility, located at 1901 Veterans Memorial Drive, Temple, Texas 76504.
