HVAC Replacement-Medford Air Tanker Base Dispatch Office   2

Background
The project involves the replacement of a six-ton (6-ton) package heat pump, economizer, heat strip, and thermostat at the Medford Air Tanker Base Dispatch Office. The project is located at the Dispatch Office of the Medford Airtanker Base and is part of the USFS Rogue River-Siskiyou National Forest. The project site is located at the Medford International Airport located in Medford, Oregon.

Work Details
The work consists of replacing one existing 6-Ton package heat pump with a new unit. The technical requirements include specific products such as a Trane 6-ton Model # WHC0743RKA or an approved equal, Trane Model # BAYECONO087A or an approved equal, Trane Model # BAYHTRA327A, and a commercial Heat/Cool digital programmable thermostat. The contractor is required to submit product data for review and provide warranty information prior to close out of the contract. The execution of the work involves installing equipment as per manufacturer’s specifications, connecting to existing supply and return duct work and piping as per ASME B31.5, connecting to existing electrical wiring, obtaining necessary permits, and ensuring cleanliness of work areas.
Field quality control includes leak testing, operational testing, test and adjust controls and safeties, and thermostat demonstration.
Work restrictions include conducting work during District business hours of Monday through Friday, 8:00 am – 4:30 pm.

Period of Performance
The replacement shall be installed within 30 days of award.

Place of Performance
The project will be performed at the Medford Air Tanker Base Dispatch Office located in Medford, Oregon.
