Project consists of work to replace the hot water boiler and associated equipment.
Demolition work includes removal of existing WEIL-McLAIN Boiler, BL-976-WS, and controls. The new work will include installation of new Hot Water Boilers and controls, and new Automated Logic Controls (ALC) DDC, installed by Meridian Systems, Inc. DDC to provide tandem boiler operation, efficiency operation with run time equalization, and modulating fire control.

Background
The project consists of work to replace the hot water boiler and associated equipment at Building 55804, Joint Base Elmendorf‐Richardson (JBER) in Alaska. The project is an Open Market General Construction Design Build (D-B) Project. The contractor is required to provide 65%, 95% designs for review. The work includes demolition of existing WEIL-McLAIN Boiler, BL-976-WS, and controls, and installation of new Hot Water Boilers and controls, and new Automated Logic Controls (ALC) DDC. Additional work may include associated electrical, plumbing, cabling, and other components to provide a fully functional system.

Work Details
The project involves the replacement of hot water boilers and associated equipment at Building 55804, Joint Base Elmendorf‐Richardson (JBER) in Alaska. The work includes demolition of existing WEIL-McLAIN Boiler, BL-976-WS, and controls.
The new work will include installation of new Hot Water Boilers and controls, and new Automated Logic Controls (ALC) DDC to provide tandem boiler operation, efficiency operation with run time equalization, and modulating fire control. The replacement boilers shall be two high efficiency condensing boilers with neutralizers and stainless steel heat exchangers. Special consideration is to be given to maintainability of new equipment and installed per manufacturer’s recommendations. Additional work may include all associated electrical, plumbing, cabling, and other components to provide a fully functional system.

Period of Performance
The contractor shall have 180 days to complete the project from the Notice to Proceed date.

Place of Performance
The project location is on the Richardson side of the installation at Building 55804, Joint Base Elmendorf‐Richardson (JBER), Alaska.
