NOTICE OF INTENT TO ISSUE AN ORDER. This is not a request for competitive proposals/quotes. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) hereby announces its intent to issue a sole source order to Healthcare Information Management System Society for HIMSS Global Showcase Conference March 11-15 2024.

The HIMSS Interoperability Showcase is key part of the 2024 HIMSS Annual Conference & Exhibition, March 11-15, 2024 in Orlando FL. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has several Centers, Institutes, and Offices (CIOs) that will benefit from continued participation in the HIMSS Interoperability Showcase. The showcase is a forum where various healthcare/public health use cases are demonstrated showing how standards-based systems and technologies are exchanging data to support an Interoperability Story. The conference brings together over 40,000 health IT professionals, clinicians, executives, and vendors from around the world. Exceptional education, world-class speakers, cutting-edge health IT products and powerful networking are hallmarks of this industry-leading conference. More than 300 education programs feature keynotes, thought leader sessions, roundtable discussions and workshops, plus a full day of preconference symposia.

A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed action will be based on responses to this notice and is solely in the discretion of the Contracting Officer. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.

All vendors must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) at www.sam.gov , prior to an award of a federal contract.

This action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b) and 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1) and/or 8.405-6. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit quotations.

This is not a request for competitive quotations; however, the Government will review any/all product, capabilities, and pricing information submitted prior to the closure of this notice. A determination by the government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.

Responsible sources that believe they possess the expertise and capabilities identified above are hereby afforded the opportunity to submit to the Contracting Officer within 10 days from the posting date of this notice, their written capabilities statement and pricing information in the format they choose, not to exceed 10 pages. Please forward, as applicable, any capabilities, product, pricing information (for products, etc.), and/or other pertinent information to Courtney Cronin, Contracting Specialist, CDC, OAS, through email at jbp7@cdc.gov

Work Details
This contract will provide support for CDC programs to participate in the 2024 HIMSS Interoperability Showcase. It will incorporate multiple use cases, multiple systems with multiple exhibitor registrations to demonstrate interoperability stories at the HIMSS24 Showcase. The project will include tasks such as demonstrating an 'interoperability story' at the HIMSS24 Interoperability Showcase, presenting to HIMSS Global Conference attendees in an education session, hosting a customer VIP Interoperability Showcase Tour, and participating in the Federal Health Pavilion Kiosk.
The period of performance will be from March 11, 2024, to March 15, 2024.
