Harris Falcon IV AN/PRC-163 Multichannel Handheld Radio Vehicle Accessories and Installation

Background
The contract is for the provision and installation of mobile communications accessories compatible with the Harris Falcon IV AN/PRC-163 multichannel handheld radio at Dyess AFB, Texas. The work includes providing all necessary labor, personnel, supervision, management, tools, equipment, transportation, materials, and any other items necessary for the installation. The contractor is also required to provide shop drawings and as-built drawings for vehicle layout and cable management. Additionally, the contractor must conduct an operational test to ensure the system is functional. The contract also includes requirements for operation and maintenance manuals, warranty, training for users, and hours of service.

Work Details
The specific products to be provided and installed include various communication equipment such as converters, cables, antennas, mounting kits, chargers/power supplies, computer systems, speakers/microphones, remote KDU kit, and various cable assemblies. The contractor is required to provide three hard-copy and one digital file of the manufacturer’s operation and maintenance manuals. The work schedule requires coordination with a representative for the establishment of performance schedule and submission of a work schedule no later than 60 calendar days prior to commencement of work. The contractor’s personnel will perform scheduled work on weekdays from 0800 - 1630 except US Federal holidays or when the facility is closed due to local or national emergencies. The contract also outlines U.S. recognized holidays and arrangements for performance time outside normal duty hours.
