Smoke and Fire Damper Repairs   2

Background
This is a firm fixed price service requirement for Fire and Smoke Damper repair at the Salem, VA Veterans Administration Medical Center. The contract is issued by the Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office 6, located at 100 Emancipation Drive, Hampton VA 23667.

Work Details
The contractor is required to provide all labor, supervision, tools, new parts, materials, equipment, transportation, and management necessary to perform Smoke and Fire Damper Repairs in Buildings 2, 2A, 7, and 143. The work includes repair and re-inspection of fire dampers that previously failed during inspection, installation of access to dampers, scheduling services within 14 business days of award, providing a detailed field report outlining work completed during each visit including any repairs or adjustments that were performed, and a list of parts used and labor hours/monetary cost.

The contractor is also responsible for site visits and proposals coordination through the Department of Veterans Affairs. Additionally, the contractor must adhere to industry standards and comply with all current CODE requirements (Life Safety, NFPA, Electrical, and Building) as well as adhere to station rules and guidelines.

Period of Performance
The contract period of performance begins on August 15, 2023, and ends on October 31, 2023.

Place of Performance
The construction projects will be performed at the Salem VA Veterans Administration Medical Center in Salem, Virginia.
