THIS SYNOPSIS IS FOR INFORMATIONAL PURPOSES ONLY. The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) Joint Strike Fighter (JSF) Program Office intends to enter into sole source negotiations and subsequently issue a sole source delivery order under BOA N0001919G0008 contract to Lockheed Martin Corporation (LM), Fort Worth, TX. This effort is estimated for award in the fourth quarter of fiscal year 2022 with estimated twelve month base period of performance. This effort is for engineering and range support efforts required to accomplish the successful firing of the GPU-9/A Gun Pod used on the F-35B STOVL Joint Strike Fighter (JSF) aircraft.

THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. This acquisition is being pursued on a sole source basis under the statutory authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1), as implemented by Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. Unless stated herein, no additional information is available. Responsible interested parties may submit a capability statement in which they identify their interest and capability to respond to this requirement. The Government will consider all information received by the response date. A determination by the Government not to compete this procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.

GENERAL INFORMATION: Lockheed Martin Corporation is the sole designer, developer, manufacturer and integrator of the F-35B STOVL Joint Strike Fighter (JSF) aircraft and its related equipment and as such is the only company that has the requisite knowledge, technical expertise, production tooling facilities and technical data necessary to meet this requirement. Subcontracting opportunities may be available and should be sought with Lockheed Martin Corporation at the address: Lockheed Martin Corporation, Attention: Spencer Berry, 1 Lockheed Blvd Bldg 10, Fort Worth Tx, 76108-3619. There is no commitment by the Government to issue a solicitation, make an award or awards, or to be responsible for any monies expended by any interested parties before award of a contract for the effort mentioned above. Information provided herein is subject to change and in no way binds the Government to solicit for or award a contract. No telephone responses will be accepted.
