Gulf Intracoastal Waterway, Texas Freeport Harbor to Matagorda Bay Maintenance Dredging, Matagorda and Brazoria County, Texas

Background
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Galveston District has a requirement for maintenance dredging of Gulf Intracoastal Waterway, Texas Freeport Harbor to Matagorda Bay, in Matagorda and Brazoria County, Texas. The purpose of this sources sought announcement is to gain knowledge of interest, capabilities, and qualifications of various members of industry, including small businesses and other disadvantaged groups. The government must ensure there is adequate competition of responsible firms.

Work Details
The scope of this contract includes maintenance dredging of GIWW Freeport to Upper Matagorda Bay reach and Channel to Palacios, with estimated volumes and placement areas specified for each option. The period of performance is to complete the entire work ready for use not later than 200 calendar days after the date the Contractor receives the Notice to Proceed.
Completion time for Options 1-6 is 265 calendar days.
All construction performance must comply with the USACE Safety and Health Requirements Manual (EM 385-1-1) and all relevant laws and regulations.

Period of Performance
The period of performance for the entire contract is not later than 200 calendar days after the date the Contractor receives the Notice to Proceed. Completion time for Options 1-6 is 265 calendar days.

Place of Performance
The construction projects will be performed in Matagorda and Brazoria County, Texas.
