Joint Base Charleston, SC seeks a contractor to provide non-personal services for grounds maintenance. The purpose of this announcement is for market research purposes only. The overall Civil Engineer mission at JBC is to plan, maintain, operate, and protect the infrastructure, facilities, and environment for assigned airmen, families, and civilian employees. Considerations for the contractor include badge requirements for Joint Base Charleston, offsite locations that require an additional badging process similar to installation access, and munitions storage locations that require each employee to sign in and out when accessing the sites.

Work Details
The contractor is required to provide grounds maintenance services at Joint Base Charleston (JBC) to promote the growth of healthy grass, trees, shrubs, and plants and present a clean, neat, and professional appearance. Tasks include lawn repair, pruning of shrubs and other plants, maintenance of semi-improved grounds, mowing, trimming vegetation around various obstacles, elimination of vegetation in non-turf areas adjacent to semi-improved grounds, removal of debris/litter patrol across designated areas, maintenance of munitions storage areas (MSA) including improved and semi-improved grounds maintenance as well as weed control in both types of areas. Additionally, fence line maintenance and security/perimeter fence line maintenance are required. Quality control and quality assurance will be conducted by the government to ensure services are received according to contract requirements.
