Background
The Department of Veterans Affairs, National Cemetery Administration (NCA), is responsible for honoring Veterans with final resting places and lasting memorials that commemorate their service.

The Florida National Cemetery, located in Bushnell, Florida, is one of nine cemeteries in the state and serves as a site for visitors, ceremonies, and committal services. The NCA's mission emphasizes the importance of maintaining these cemeteries to reflect respect and concern for those interred there.

The standards for management and maintenance are established by the NCA to ensure that the appearance of national cemeteries meets the expectations of reverence and dignity.

Work Details
The contractor will provide comprehensive grounds maintenance services at the Florida National Cemetery. This includes:
1) Cleaning and edging of headstone markers and columbariums;
2) Maintaining healthy grass, trees, shrubs, and plants;
3) Performing weed eating;
4) Providing all necessary tools, chemicals, supervision, labor, personal protective equipment, materials, and equipment;
5) Ensuring that all work is performed with care and respect for the cemetery environment;
6) Scheduling work to avoid disruption of cemetery operations;
7) Adhering to National Cemetery Administration Operational Standards. Work hours are Monday through Friday from 7:30 AM to 2:30 PM.

Period of Performance
Base Year: April 1, 2025 – March 31, 2026 with four one-year options extending through March 31, 2030.
