Giant Voice for RAF Fairford and RAF Welford   2

Background
The existing Giant Voice (GV) system at Royal Air Force (RAF) Fairford and Welford is a standalone ATI GV system consisting of Central Control Stations (CCSs) and Remote Siren Stations (RSSs). The existing system uses UHF and VHF radio base stations for digital two-way radio communications between the CCSs and RSSs. Each existing standalone GV system also uses an IP Integration Module (IIM64) to interface with the Net-centric Network Alerting System (NCAS) from the Blackberry AtHoc vendor to activate and broadcast alert notifications or messages over the GV system from AtHoc web-based consoles.

Work Details
The contract requires the expansion of the Giant Voice (GV) system at RAF Fairford and Welford to add and integrate five new RSSs into the existing standalone GV system at RAF Fairford and one new RSS into the existing standalone GV system at RAF Welford. The expansion includes upgrading existing outdated CCSs, adding and integrating new CCSs, relocating existing RSS, configuration, integration, equipment reuse and upgrade, radio equipment, wooden poles, AC circuit extensions, battery backups, solar panels, lightning protection, grounding, cabling, and other necessary components to complete each standalone expanded GV system.

Period of Performance
The period of performance for this project shall be determined based on the proposed schedule and actual contract award date.

Place of Performance
The place of performance shall be RAF Fairford and Welford, UK.
