Background
The U.S. Marshals Service, Eastern District of Washington, is seeking to retrofit a 2024 Ford Transit 350 van for the secure transportation of prisoners. The current GSA prisoner vans lack the necessary security features for safe transport between facilities and the U.S. Court House.

This contract aims to enhance the van's security capabilities.

Work Details
The contractor will provide materials and labor for outfitting the van with the following specifications:
1. Install one partition behind driver/passenger seats with mirror tint no less than 35%.
2. Install a second HAVIS partition/compartment for separating prisoners during transport.
3. Provide metal security caging for all rear cabin windows and remove/block rear door emergency exit equipment.
4. Install emergency lights and sirens compliant with RCW 46.37.320 standards, including various types of lights and a siren capable of producing an audible signal with a minimum 100-watt speaker.
5. Additional modifications include installing a manual HAVIS “side step,” tinting front windows, adding prisoner transport door locks, removing USB outlets, deactivating rear cabin airbags, and installing a weapons rack and security lock box between the front seats.
