The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) requires a qualified vendor to perform services to clear out trees in one area at the FAA's Radar Station located at the Haleakala National Park. Service must be completed by September 30, 2024.

Section M:
Basis of Award FOR LOW PRICE
The Government may award a contract on the basis of initial offers received, without discussion. Therefore, each initial offer should contain the offeror's best price. Award shall be in accordance with clause 3.2.2.3-19, entitled 'CONTRACT AWARD' (JULY 2004)
Only one (1) contract award shall be made as a result of this solicitation. Award will be made to the responsive and responsible offeror whose offer results in the lowest total offer price.

Background
The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) is seeking a qualified vendor to perform tree trimming services at the FAA Radar Station located in Haleakala National Park, Maui, Hawaii. The goal of this contract is to clear trees that may impact radar signals and ensure the safety and functionality of the radar station.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for the following tasks:

A. Cut trees located up to 600 feet east of the fence line based on predetermined GPS coordinates, specifically targeting approximately 10 trees identified on a provided map. Trees cut can be dropped and left in place.

B. Cut down a tree causing damage to the road near the property entrance; this tree will be broken down by chipping if possible, or left in place without obstructing the road if chipping is not feasible.

C. Chip already downed trees around the outside perimeter of the facility using a woodchipper, with chips allowed to be left outside the perimeter.

D. All trees and branches must be hauled away and disposed of by the contractor in compliance with all applicable State, Federal, and local regulations.

Period of Performance
The work must be completed by September 30, 2024.
