The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Wilmington District requires a contract to perform maintenance dredging of the Atlantic Intracoastal Waterway, North Carolina, North Contract

The work includes maintenance dredging of the Atlantic Intracoastal Waterway (AIWW) channel between Wilmington and Ocean Isle Beach, North Carolina. The maintenance dredging work will consist of removal of shoaled material that has accumulated in the channels since the various areas were last dredged. Dredging depths are from 8-12' plus 2' of allowable overdepth for the AIWW channels.

Placement of dredged material for the AIWW channels will be on approved ocean beaches and placement islands. The placement islands are confined placement areas with containment dikes and spillway systems.

All dredging shall be performed by hydraulic cutter suction dredge. There is an environmental dredge window of November 1 April 30 for dredging of the Core Creek Channels but no environmental dredging windows for any of the other AIWW channels. The environmental windows for placement of dredged material on ocean beaches extends from 16 November to 31 March or from 16 November to 30 April depending on the beach placement area location.

This solicitation is a 100% Small Business set-aside.

The contract issued will be Firm Fixed Price.

The Magnitude of Construction of this project is between $10,000,000.00 and $25,000,000.00.

This solicitation will be issued in electronic format only and will be available on or about 22 July 2024.

The bid opening date will be specified in the solicitation when it is issued. No additional media (CD-ROM, floppy disks, facsimiles, etc) will be provided. Paper copies of this solicitation will not be available. Other methods of requesting a package will not be honored.

The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 237990 Dredging and Surface Cleanup Activities and the size standard is $37,000,000.00.
