Background
The US Army Corps of Engineers, Fort Worth District is issuing this sources sought synopsis as a means of conducting market research to identify parties having an interest in and the resources to support the requirement for a Firm Fixed-Price, Design-Bid-Build Renovation project. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers – Fort Worth District has been tasked to solicit for and award a Design-Bid-Build Construction contract to renovate B39041 Freeman Dining Facility (DFAC), Fort Cavazos, TX.

Work Details
The project focuses on a comprehensive renovation to support the approximately 20,000 GSF of the B39041 Freeman Dining Facility (DFAC) located at Fort Cavazos, TX. Its primary objectives are to ensure compliance with current Army mandates, Unified Facilities Criteria (UFCs), and the DFAC Army standard, creating a fully functional and code-compliant facility.

This renovation encompasses both interior and exterior aspects. Internally, the plan involves demolishing the existing layout and constructing a new floorplan. Upgrades to essential systems like electrical, mechanical, plumbing, fire protection, fire alarm, and mass notification systems are planned. Additionally, there will be a replacement of kitchen equipment and installation of new interior finishes. Externally, the project includes upgrading the building envelope, such as replacing the existing roof with a Standing Seam Metal Roof (SSMR), and changing out exterior doors and windows. Moreover, the renovation aims to eliminate hazardous materials like ACM, LBP, and Mold for the safety and well-being of occupants.
