Fixed Wing Lightweight Hardware Recovery System (LARS) Hardware Refresh   2

Background
The Air Force Life Cycle Management Center (AFLCMC) is issuing a solicitation for a Fixed Price contract to support the Fixed Wing Section for Special Operations Forces/Personnel Recovery (SOF/PR) at Robins Air Force Base (AFB).

The goal of this contract is to acquire the design and drawing of a Form-Fit-Function (FFF) hardware replacement for the current Lightweight Airborne Recovery System (LARS) as part of a trade study for hardware refresh on various C-130 platforms. This procurement is determined to be Sole Source to Cubic Defense Applications, Inc.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for the following tasks:
1. Conducting a trade study for hardware refresh on various C-130 platforms.
2. Designing and drawing a Form-Fit-Function (FFF) hardware replacement for the current Lightweight Airborne Recovery System (LARS).
3. Delivering the item to the HC/MC Engineering Team for analysis and approval for production/manufacture as outlined in Appendix B. The contract will be structured as a Firm Fixed Price (FFP) pricing arrangement.

Period of Performance
The Period of Performance for this contract is expected to be from May 1, 2025, to September 1, 2025, lasting approximately 4 months.

Place of Performance
The contract will be performed at Robins Air Force Base, Georgia.
