Background
The Air Force Life Cycle Management Center (AFLCMC)/WIU is conducting market research to identify potential sources that possess the capabilities and experience to provide engineering services for the Fixed Wing Lightweight Hardware Recovery System (LARS) on the HC-130J and MC-130J aircraft.

The goal of this Request for Information (RFI) is to gather information on potential contractors who can design a refreshed hardware system that meets specific qualification requirements.

Work Details
The contractor must provide a design for a refreshed hardware system for the Lightweight Airborne Recovery System (LARS) as a Form-Fit-Function (FFF) replacement of current hardware components.

The specific components to be analyzed for FFF replacement include:
- Control Display Unit (CDU): 282950-1
- Direction Finding Antenna (DF): 282810-1/282620-1
- Receiver Transmitter Assembly (RT): 282650-3/282550-1.

The contractor is responsible for furnishing all materials and services necessary to perform these tasks, including providing, utilizing, and maintaining all required equipment and software at their facility or a subcontractor’s facility.

Period of Performance
4 months after contract award.
