Description

The Defense Logistics Agency-Aberdeen, on behalf of the Army Integrated Logistics Supply Center (ILSC), is considering a new slash sheet to the MIL-PRF-32383 specification.

Requirements Description:

The Government is seeking comments on a new slash sheet to the MIL-PRF-32383, General Performance Specification for Rechargeable Sealed Batteries. The base document is provided for reference only. The slash sheet for review is as follows:

MIL-PRF-32383/7, Performance Specification Sheet, Battery, Rechargeable, Sealed, Small Tactical Universal Battery (STUB), BB-251X/U and BB-252X/U

A draft version of the slash sheet and applicable reference base document are attached to this notice. All comments received will be considered but are considered non-binding. No compensation will be provided for any efforts related to this request for information, however, changes to the specification will have bearing on potential future acquisitions for the subject batteries. Failure to respond will not adversely affect an offeror's ability to participate in future acquisitions.

Comments to the slash sheet must be sent via email to Alexandra Karalekas, alexandra.m.karalekas.civ@army.mil; Michael Buck, michael.h.buck6.civ@army.mil and Laura Cristo, laura.m.cristo.civ@army.mil. All comments must be provided by 15 November 2021.

Comments should cite:

-Exact specification reference (e.g. paragraph number, table number, etc.)

-Recommended change

-Reason for recommended change (e.g. error correction, enhancement, significant cost savings, etc.)

In your response, please include your company name, CAGE code, and a technical point of contract with email address and telephone number. In addition, please fill out the attached Contractor Questionnaire.

This is NOT a Request for Quote or Proposal. The Government does not intend to award a contract on the basis of this Special Notice or reimburse any costs associated with the preparation of responses to this Special Notice. This Special Notice is for planning and market research purposes only, and shall not be construed as a commitment by the Government.

All communication with respect to this Special Notice must be emailed to the Technical and Competition Advocate Points of Contact at the email addresses listed below. No phone inquiries will be accepted, either as a response to this action or for information requests. All requests for information must be submitted via email to the both of the Technical Points of Contact and the Competition Advocate.
