Background
The Federal Bureau of Prisons is conducting market research for the Federal Correctional Institution Waseca (FCI Waseca) located in Minnesota. FCI Waseca is seeking to replace its existing digital x-ray machine (Definium 5000). The market research questionnaire is for information purposes only and the described requirement may or may not be included in the subsequent solicitation. This is not a solicitation.

Work Details
The work involves seeking information on a digital x-ray machine that is durable, easy to use, accommodates all patients ranging in size and levels of mobility, has a minimum weight limit of 770lbs, includes a wall stand that lowers to floor level for patient safety, and has a floor-mounted x-ray tube. Additionally, it must have a tabletop that floats to allow patient positioning, 1-second image preview, touchscreen monitor, simple interface and system controls, digital detectors with specific image quality and dose efficiency requirements, wireless detector for non-table or wall stand exams, and other technical specifications.

The questionnaire also includes questions related to company size, eligibility for small business programs, company type (manufacturer/dealer/distributor), GSA Schedule availability, delivery schedule, SAM registration status, leasing or rental capabilities, recycling of current equipment, and contact information.
