OCEAN BEACH SAND MANAGEMENT
Background
The National Park Service is seeking sand management services for the Golden Gate National Recreation Area at Ocean Beach in San Francisco County, California. The beach has been widening since the 1970s due to natural and manmade factors, leading to excess sand build-up against the O’Shaughnessy seawall. This excess sand needs to be managed to maintain public access and reduce sand build-up in adjacent areas.

Work Details
The contractor is required to relocate built-up sand shoreward away from the seawall using appropriate heavy equipment. The work must be performed between daylight hours from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m., with no night work authorized for service delivery operations due to public safety concerns. The period of performance for this firm-fixed price contract is from July 1, 2024, to August 31, 2024.
