Background
The Bureau of Land Management has a requirement for a contractor to Cut and shred (general masticate) lop and scatter Mixed Mountain Scrub communities consisting of primarily Gambel Oak, Western Serviceberry, Mountain Mahogany, and Antelope bitterbrush with a Contractor furnished machine. Sagebrush is not a target species for this project. This solicitation is being issued as a total small business set-aside.

Work Details
The contractor will furnish all equipment, fuel, and personnel necessary to accomplish the specific tasks described in the Statement of Work. The work involves cutting and shredding mixed mountain scrub communities using contractor furnished machines such as Hydro-Ax, Fecon Bull Hog, or chainsaws. The project location is 4 miles west of Steamboat Springs, CO. The work sites shall be accessed by the contractor at their expense. The contract duration allows work to begin upon contract award and must be completed within 90 days after the notice to Proceed. No work can be done until 8/15/2024 due to migratory birds, elk calving, and raptor nesting.
