This sources sought synopsis is conducted by Robins Air Force Base, Georgia, to identify potential sources with the expertise and capabilities to support and maintain the Automated Weight and Balance System (AWBS) software for the United States Air Force (USAF).

The AWBS software automates the generation of flight clearance forms, known as Form F, which are essential for government aircraft operations. This synopsis serves informational and planning purposes only and does not constitute a solicitation or commitment to award a contract.

Work Details
The contract requires engineering technical services for software maintenance of the F-15 AWBS Automated Form F.

The Automated Form F (AFF) is a Windows-based program that automates the generation of flight clearance forms necessary for safe flight operations. Key tasks include:
1) Providing help desk support for AFF and AWBS software systems for field users;
2) Researching current Technical Orders (TO) to determine new loading configurations for the F-15 airframe and updating loading charts in AFF;
3) Conducting technical interchange meetings to train field users, discuss software changes, and address issues related to loading conditions.

The work breakdown includes approximately 70% help desk support/training, 15% software maintenance (bug fixes), and 15% development of new software capabilities (chart updates with Time Compliance Technical Order changes). New software releases occur annually, incorporating updates from TCTOs and weapon stores changes.
