Background
The contract is for providing extended-stay hotel services for Health Professions Trainees (HPTs) from the Psychiatry Department of Texas A&M Health Science Center. The lodging facility should be located within a ten-mile radius of the Central Texas Veterans HealthCare System in Temple, Texas, and Doris Miller VA Medical Center in Waco, Texas.

Work Details
The contractor is required to provide extended-stay lodging services for HPTs. The lodging should operate within standard commercial practices of the hotel industry, including providing complimentary daily changing of linens, basic toiletries, towels, and other standard complimentary practices. The VA will not be responsible for any damages caused by the HPT. Rooms offered should be single or double occupancy, reasonably quiet and tranquil, and equipped with a refrigerator and microwave. The contractor must comply with all city, county, and state hotel/motel codes and ordinances. Additionally, the contractor must provide utilities such as heat, air conditioning, electricity, water, sewer, local telephone service, and basic television cable service. The hotel facility should be within walking distance of a restaurant and allow food delivery. The contractor must also provide handicapped accessible parking and rooms as well as comply with OSHA standards.

Period of Performance
The contract period includes various durations for room reservations starting from July 1st, 2024 to September 30th, 2024.

The contract performance locations include Central Texas Veterans HealthCare System in Temple, Texas and Doris Miller VA Medical Center in Waco, Texas.
