Description

The Ground-based Midcourse Defense (GMD) program is required to sustain 44 Exoatmospheric Kill Vehicle (EKV)-equipped Ground Based Interceptors (GBI). The scope of the contract also includes obsolescence management to address diminishing sources to ensure the Government's capability to maintain, upgrade, and repair the EKV. In addition, the ESC contractor will perform Service Life Extension Program EKV upgrades, software improvements, flight and ground test reachback support, and cybersecurity compliance.

The ESC contractor will be required to work closely with other GMD contractors to identify courses of action to plan, schedule, and upgrade or repair EKVs as directed by the Government.
