Background
The FEAD Marine Corps Recruit Depot (MCRD) Parris Island is issuing this solicitation for exhaust hood cleaning services. The mission of the FEAD MCRD Parris Island group is to provide base and community support for the MCRD’s East Coast Marine training mission. This contract aims to ensure compliance with safety and operational standards by maintaining clean exhaust systems in accordance with relevant regulations.

Work Details
The contractor will provide inspection and cleaning services for exhaust hoods and duct systems in accordance with NFPA 96 Standard for Ventilation Control and Fire Protection of Commercial Cooking Operations, OSHA, and other applicable local, state, and federal regulations. The contractor shall furnish all supervision, management, tools, labor, materials, supplies, equipment, and transportation necessary to perform the following tasks:

1. Cleaning and degreasing services for twenty-two (22) exhaust hood locations aboard MCRD Parris Island on a quarterly basis in February, May, August, and November.

2. Cleaning tasks include:
- Set-up: Turn off fans, remove filters for cleaning, cover the hood with plastic to contain debris, funnel wastewater appropriately.
- Hood Cleaning: Rinse fan and stack, apply chemicals, pressure wash surfaces as needed.
- Ductwork Cleaning: Scrape duct walls to remove buildup, apply chemicals, pressure wash as necessary.
- Filter Cleaning: Place filters in a cleaning tub with chemicals and pressure wash them.
- Tear down/clean-up: Remove equipment from work areas and dispose of waste properly.
- Close-out: Ensure all equipment is operational post-cleaning and complete necessary documentation.

Period of Performance
The contract will be performed quarterly throughout the year as specified in the work details section.
