ERP-RS Industry Day

Background
The U.S. Army Contracting Command-New Jersey (ACC-NJ), Picatinny Arsenal, NJ 07806-5000, on behalf of the Joint Program Executive Office Armaments and Ammunition (JPEO A&A) and the Office of the Project Manager Close Combat Systems (PM-CCS), is issuing this Sources Sought Notification (SSN) to conduct Market Research to identify potential sources having an interest in supporting the Enhanced Robotic Payloads – Render Safe (ERP-RS) program. The ERP-RS program addresses limitations in Unmanned Ground Vehicles (UGVs) by providing a suite of three modular UGV capabilities designed with common interfaces, which will provide an increased level of standoff, situational awareness, disruption capability, and dexterity to respond to current and emergent EOD requirements.

The intent of the Industry Day is to attract companies with technology capabilities to assist the ERP-RS Program, communicate the acquisition strategy, and discuss the needs of the user community relative to ERP-RS.

Work Details
The ERP-RS program will provide a Highly Dexterous Manipulation System (HDMS) which mimics the natural motion of human arms, and a Multi-Shot Disruptor (MSD) with Precision Aim Module (PAM) to engage threats at greater platform standoff. These payloads will be integrated with UGVs in support of EOD missions. The HDMS will provide the ability to grasp an object with an end-effector and manipulate seamlessly with others, enabling natural motions required for highly dexterous actions within the defined work area and at the point of collaboration between end-effectors throughout the radial arc of the UGV. The MSD will provide multiple options for remote disruption of targets, with precise aiming capability and ability to target specific Explosive Hazard components remotely from a robotic platform. The PAM will allow fine adjustments capable of positioning the MSD into position for disruption and/or render safe of EH.

The Industry Day event is scheduled for 16 – 17 April 2024.
