The U.S. Army Communications-Electronics Command (CECOM) and Command Control Communication Tactical (C3T) is conducting this market survey notice to determine possible sources of supply and upgrade hardware capability for the Enhance Position Location Reporting System (EPLRS) radio Receiver Transmitter (cage 80058) RT-1720G(C)/G NSN 5820-01-514-1408 to RT-1915(C)/G NSN 5820-01-535-5436 configuration. The Army will only provide approximately a quantity of 130 RT-1720G(C)/G. There are no spare parts, testing equipment, and technical information to be provided for this upgrade process. The item is a secure, jam-resistant, computer-controlled communications network that distributes near real-time tactical information, generally integrated into radio sets, and coordinated by a Network Control Station. It is primarily used for data distribution, position location, and reporting. It enhances command and control of tactical units by providing commanders with the location of friendly units.

This Market Survey is for information ONLY, and will be used for preliminary planning purposes. NO proposals are being requested or accepted with this synopsis. This is NOT a solicitation for proposals and NO contract shall be awarded from this survey. No reimbursement will be made for any costs associated with providing information in response to this synopsis or any follow up information requests. The US Army is conducting this Market Survey to determine potential interest of prospective Enhance Position Location Reporting System (EPLRS) radio Receiver Transmitter (cage 80058) RT-1720G(C)/G NSN 5820-01-514-1408 to RT-1915(C)/G NSN 5820-01-535-5436 configuration.

The Government does not have detailed technical data. A respondent must be able to prove to the Government how Depot level and field problems can be identified and corrected without the aid of detailed design drawings.

The Government will also use the information, in part, to determine the best acquisition strategy for a potential procurement action and to assist in making future acquisition strategy decisions. The Government will not reimburse interested sources or responders to this notice for any information received and any costs incurred in responding, or for subsequent exchanges of information.
