Engineering Support Services - Commercial Derivative Aircraft

Background
The Air Force Life Cycle Management Center (AFLCMC) Executive Aircraft Division is seeking to identify potential sources capable of providing engineering services in support of FAA certified commercial derivative aircraft manufactured by The Boeing Company.

This effort is intended for market research purposes only and is not a request for proposals or quotes. The solicitation is open to all types of businesses, including small businesses and various disadvantaged business categories.

Work Details
The requirements are divided into two categories: recurring engineering services and non-recurring engineering services.

Recurring engineering services include:
- systems engineering
- evaluation/recommendation of service information and FAA Airworthiness Directives
- systems integration
- service action review board support and documentation
- evaluation of modifications and maintenance requirements
- liaison engineering to support engineering inquiries.

Non-recurring engineering services include:
- engineering tasks
- engineering projects
- engineering assignments
- hardware evaluations
- on-site accident and incident investigations
- engineering feasibility studies
- first-of-model/prototype upgrades and modification. Qualified contractors must have proprietary information agreements with Boeing, knowledge of specific commercial derivative platforms, technical expertise, adequate financial capability, necessary equipment and infrastructure, and personnel resources.

Period of Performance
The anticipated contract will be an Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (ID/IQ) contract with a one-year basic period followed by nine one-year option periods, plus an option to extend services for up to six months beyond the expiration of the basic or latest exercised option period.
