Engine Rebuild - Crew Haul EN7495 -Tahoe NF   2

Background
The Tahoe National Forest, part of the USDA Forest Service, is seeking quotes for an in-frame engine rebuild for Crew Carrier EN7495. The goal of this contract is to ensure the operational readiness of the vehicle through necessary repairs and maintenance.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for the following tasks:
- Removal of the old engine to be replaced with an in-frame rebuild kit.
- Measurement of cam lobe and liner protrusion.
- Replacement of main bearings, pistons, liners, and EGR cooler.
- Perform calibrations.
- Conduct a two-hour extended test drive.
- Reassembly and shipping of the old engine core.

Additionally, all parts and incidentals replaced under this service contract must be Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) replacement parts. After repairs are complete, all dashboard indicator lights must be reset, and all leaks or issues resolved prior to payment. All oil and fluid must be recycled according to Federal, State, and Local regulations, and all parts disposed of in compliance with these regulations.

Period of Performance
Vehicle repairs shall be completed no later than 60 days after the contract has been awarded.

Place of Performance
The work will be performed at the Tahoe National Forest Auto Shop located at 12019 Charles Drive, Grass Valley, CA 95945.
