Elevator Maintenance and Repair Services - MCC Chicago   3

Background
The Federal Bureau of Prisons (BOP), Field Acquisition Office, is seeking to award a contract for Elevator Maintenance and Repair Services at the Metropolitan Correctional Center (MCC) Chicago.

The goal of this contract is to ensure the safe and reliable operation of elevator systems within the facility, which includes various types of elevators and lifts. The contract will consist of a base year with four optional renewal periods, allowing for continued service as needed.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for providing all labor, supplies, parts, and materials necessary for cleaning, maintenance, inspection, repairs, or replacements of elevators and associated equipment.

This includes but is not limited to: controllers, selectors, worm gears, thrust bearings, brake components, intercoms, hoist door hangers, and all other elevator signal and accessory equipment.

Specific requirements include maintaining hydraulic elevator components such as plunger glands and valves; ensuring all elevator accessories are operational; complying with ASME safety codes; providing 24-hour emergency callback service; notifying the Contracting Officer's Representative (COR) in advance of significant repairs; assigning a competent Field Engineer for supervision; maintaining a log of corrective actions; and submitting monthly progress reports on maintenance performed.
