Drydock: USCGC Maurice Jester DD FY25   3

Background
The U.S. Coast Guard (USCG) is seeking contractors for drydock repairs of the USCGC MAURICE JESTER (WPC-1152). The contract aims to ensure the vessel is maintained in optimal condition, supporting the USCG's mission of maritime safety and security. The work will be performed at a facility accessible from a navigable waterway, allowing the vessel to safely arrive and depart at all states of tide.

Work Details
The contractor shall provide a facility where the USCGC MAURICE JESTER can safely arrive, lie afloat, and depart at any time. The facility must have a minimum water depth of 12 feet and a minimum height clearance of 60 feet. The scope includes:

1. Technical Approach: A planning document outlining the strategy for completing the requirement on or before the contract completion date, including proposed schedules and critical paths.

2. Coatings Certification Requirements: Meeting SFLC standard specification 0000 for coatings QC/QA.

3. Sewage and Grey Water System Cleaning Procedures: Methods for cleaning sewage and grey water systems.

4. Watertight Closure Assessment Qualifications: Experience with watertight hull fittings repair.

5. Handling of Mast Interferences: Evidence of experience with sensitive electronic equipment on masts.

6. Thermographic Inspection Certifications: Documentation of certifications for nondestructive testing.

7. Welding Certifications/Procedures: Documentation specific to welding procedures and certifications.

8. Drydock Certifications and Pre-Award Calculations: Required documents under SFLC standard specification 8634.

9. Fire Safety Plan: Description of measures to meet fire detection/alarm/response requirements during work.

Period of Performance
The period of performance for this contract is from January 21, 2025, to May 20, 2025.

Place of Performance
The work will be performed at a facility accessible from a navigable waterway that allows safe access for the vessel.
