Description

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, New England District will be issuing Invitation for Bids for the Cape Cod Canal and Sandwich Beaches Shore Damage Mitigation Project, located in Sandwich, Massachusetts. This procurement is an Unrestricted Invitation for Bid (IFB). The NAICS code for the work is 237990 with a size standard of $37M. Construction is expected to take approximately 5 months to complete. The estimated construction cost is $5,000,000 to $10,000,000. Within the limits of the Canal the top of pipeline must be submerged at all times to depths equal to or greater than -38 feet MLLW and bottom of pipeline continuously resting on the ocean floor. Dredged material that is pumped directly onto Town Neck Beach will be spread, shaped, and graded to meet the beach?s required beach berm and dune profile.Under this contract the successful offeror will be required to provide the equipment (i.e., hydraulic pipeline dredge plant, booster pump(s), pipeline weights, and heavy equipment) and materials required for the removal of material from the aforementioned SBBA and for the placement of dredged materials onto Town Neck Beach including both publicly and privately owned properties. The anticipated dredging window for the project is from October 1, 2024 ? March 15, 2025.
