This is a construction-roofing requirement which entails furnishing all labor, equipment, and materials to perform roof removal, installation, repair, sealing and or replacement to buildings at Ft Belvoir, VA as needed to include incidental work in accordance with the specifications of the statement of work (SOW). Work performed by the contractor shall result in a complete, functional, and suitable system.

Background
This contract is issued by the government for roofing services at Fort Belvoir, Virginia. The mission is to maintain and repair roofing systems on various buildings within the installation and its satellite facilities. The goal of this contract is to ensure that all roofing work results in a complete, functional, and watertight system that meets specified standards.
Work Details
The contractor will perform a range of roofing tasks including roof removal, installation, repair, sealing, and replacement of roofs on various structures such as warehouses, administrative buildings, shops, barracks, and mess halls. Specific tasks include:
1) Complete tear-off and removal of existing roofing materials;
2) Inspection of decking for rot or deterioration;
3) Installation of insulation;
4) Application of asphalt primer;
5) Installation of modified bitumen roofing systems;
6) Fabrication and installation of edge metals and flashings;
7) Compliance with local policies, NFPA codes, and industry standards.
The contractor must also provide all necessary personnel, equipment, materials, supervision, and non-personal services to fulfill the requirements outlined in the Statement of Work (SOW). Additionally, the contractor must ensure that all work is performed by skilled personnel and that any damage caused during operations is repaired at no cost to the government.
Place of Performance
The primary location for performance is Fort Belvoir, Virginia. Additional sites may include Fort Walker (formerly Fort A.P. Hill), Joint Base Myer Henderson Hall (JBMHH), Rivanna Station, Arlington National Cemetery, and Fort McNair.
