Digital Signage Software and Support

Background
The purpose for this Request for Information is to gather information on what software would be available in industry for software and support. This initiative is to support several shipyards to procure the approved Digital Signage Software. The shipyards participating in this future procurement are Portsmouth Naval Shipyard, Puget Sound Naval Shipyard, Pear Harbor Naval Shipyard & IMF, and Norfolk Naval Shipyard. There will also be smaller detachments that will be affected by this collaboration.

Work Details
Digital Signage Software and Support. Salient features have been provided as Attachment 1. The contractor is required to provide information such as Brand Name (BN) or Equal, Manufacturer Name, Manufacturer Part Number, Description, Quantity, Unit of Issue, Unit Price, Promised Delivery (ARO), Covered by OEM Warranty (type and duration), HW Serial Number/Key Code, Software License Included (Duration), SW Serial Number/Key Code, Contract Number, Delivery Order Number, Funding Document Number, Contract Line Item No. (CLIN) SubCLIN (SLIN), Customer Organization, Delivery Address, Tracking No, Carrier, IUID Type, Issuing Agency Code, Enterprise Identifier, Lot or Batch Number, Type Designation, Special Tooling or Special Test Equip.

The specific salient features required include the ability to virtually update endpoints/TVs via phone or tablet; stream live and previously recorded events; emergency broadcast push to cell phones, desktops and signage; media players operating systems configurable to be secured or a hardened appliance; ability to customize content to specified areas; ability to create separate domains and admins; both audio and up to 4K capabilities with the ability to control display functions power on/off and volume; ability to create playlists and scheduling; ability to reach back to the server and update content and push most recent updates to local media player on a regular schedule; view online and offline media players availability/status of players; ability to store and play content locally; publish data-driven applications with SQL Server or other database backend - optional selection; categorizing content into folders within the system; widgets: weather, traffic, social media, NOAA news sports etc.; closed captioning - optional; preview features within the system ahead of posting/saving; control the look and feel of the media with pre-made content or custom design content - optional; on-premises and/or cloud options for a hybrid system; capability of storing and playing locally 6-8 hours up to 4K video and audio; ability to enforce single sign-on; DoD CAC authentication capability to build interactive screen designs - optional; ability to control display functions power on/off and volume remotely.

Period of Performance
This will close on 6/1/2024 at 5 PM EST. After the RFI closes on 6/1/24 there will be a Technical Review at which time that interested parties RFI's that have been received will be reviewed. If questions arise from the RFI submission a period of clarification questions may take place. This may take up to 60 days to review.
